Parents of Ladue Chapel Nursery School play a very important role in this first school experience by preparing a child for separation from home, and accepting their growing independence. Our parents maintain a close personal tie between home and school. Parents are encouraged to visit often and participate in school activities. We have two
or three room ambassadors in each room to help with parties.Parent -Teacher Conversations are scheduled twice a year. Our teachers share each child's development in detail with parents. a semi monthly newsletter help keep school and home in close touch.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Ladue Chapel Nursery School is made up of a group of dedicated parent volunteers. They govern and help direct the nursery school by setting policies, fundraising, facilitating community spirit within the school and shaping the school's direction. Monthly meeting are planned.
Fundraising
Ladue Chapel Nursery School is a not for profit nursery school. We rely on the fundraising efforts of our board to compliment our school budget for educational purchases and facility improvements. The generosity of our parents has allowed us to purchase educational materials and equipment that enrich our classrooms. A current large fundraising goal is for a capital campaign to replace our playground.
SCHOOL EVENTS
Parent Orientation
A chance to meet informally with teachers and the board president to learn more about Ladue Chapel Nursery School and discuss the goals and activities for the year. The orientation finishes with a class picnic on the playground.
Dad's Picnic
A fun time for dads to spend one-on-one time with their child over dinner on the playground.
Child and Family Photography
Professional individual and family photos taken in an outdoor setting. A portion of the proceeds benefit the school.
VIP Day and Book Fair
A book fair where children, their families and friends may purchase books with proceeds benefiting LCNS. The first night, there is a pajama party for the children to come to school in their pajamas and browse through books. VIP mornings include a short program in the classroom.
Halloween Parade
The children come dressed in their costumes for a parade and parents line the parade route.
Fall Open House
Interested families are invited for a short orientation and tour of the school.
New socks and underwear Collection
Families are encouraged to bring items to school that are donated to designated charity.
Holiday Mart
A great gathering for specialty vendors selling holiday gifts. This is the largest fundraising event for the school.
Holiday Program
A special time when children sing holiday favorites for family and friends. The whole school is invited to the Fellowship Hall for the entertaining event.
Father's Breakfast
The children have breakfast with their Dad in their classroom.
Trivia Night
Parents gather for a fun night to test trivia knowledge and enjoy the company of other LCNS families.
Toothbrush and Toothpaste Collection
Families are encouraged to bring to school items that are donated to designated charity
LCNS Birthday
The children celebrate this special day with the entire school.
Mother's Teas
Mothers are invited to have tea with their child and enjoy a Mother's Day celebration in their classrooms.
Family Fun Fair
The annual school picnic celebrates the end of the school year with classmates and families. Special activities are planned.
